OPEN POSITIONS

Spring Stoops McCullen Engineering, PA is growing to handle the increased market demand for excellence in engineering, design, and layout of electrical and mechanical systems in planned new construction projects and facility renovations in Healthcare, Commercial, Educational, and Government facilities.

Mechanical Engineer

Minimum 4-years of experience in the design of mechanical building systems with an emphasis in healthcare.

 

Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a professional engineer in the State of NC

 

Must be knowledgeable of the appropriate Codes and standards

 

Shall be in good standing with the Board of Registration and have no actions pending.

 

Shall be capable of managing projects through design and construction

 

Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit MEP

 

Responsible for overall system design including but not limited to: calculating heating and cooling loads, selecting equipment, duct and pipe design, and energy analysis.

 

Attend design and construction phase meetings and interact with owner, architect, and contractors.

 

Perform site investigations of existing facilities and document findings.

 

Review of shop drawings, change orders, and request for information and respond accordingly.

 

Mentor/train less experienced staff.

Mechanical Designer

Minimum 1 year of design experience in commercial, HVAC building systems.

 

Experience in the design of plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus.

 

Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit MEP

 

Familiar with duct and hydronic pipe sizing for HVAC systems

 

Experience with pre-design field investigation

 

Familiar with Carrier HAP load calculation program or other similar software.

Electrical Engineer

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university with 2 years of experience in Electricial design.

 

Licensed as an Engineering Intern or Professional Engineer or eligible to be licensed in the State of NC.

Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit MEP

Responsible for overall system design, sizing, layout and selection of components for electrical systems.  Electrical systems include power, lighting, fire alarm, nurse call and telecommunications.

 

Obtain basic architectural, civil, plumbing and mechanical data from documents, occupant interviews, and field measurements. 

 

​Communicate with internal staff, clients, and other consultants / disciplines, providing project information as requested through attendance at project meetings, e-mail, correspondence, etc.

 

Perform field review of existing facilities to determine and verify relevant services and site layout.

 

Responsible for preparation of cost estimates

Assist in the review of shop drawing submittals as requested and posts modifications as needed.

 

Compile specifications and contract documents from existing sources for assigned projects. 

 

Understand and apply codes as related to buildings and electrical design.

 

Work to meet design schedules and complete tasks on budget. 

Mentor/train less experienced staff.
